Analysis of Questionnaire
From my primary research I can use my findings and put it together to help form my opening two minutes of my film. It would be better to go along with most horror movies and keep the women as the main victim. Which is the common convention of horror movies. However this is going against the target audience which suggest that they could possibly want change with regards to the sex of the victim. Females are stereotyped as being weaker as compared to men so it could be better having a male killer against male victim. When shooting the film we will use all of the preferred types of horror but use more of intense killings than cliff hangers as we are aiming it at a younger audience (teenagers getting to adults) as they are more likely to enjoy intense killings rather than wait and find out what will happen next, as teenagers can become easily impatient. When stalking the victim the people we surveyed said they preferred this best. However we will build climax to it and have confrontation between the victim and killer and then stalk them so we can incorporate them all into our film. As the preferred hero may not be established it would make sense to create an enigma for the audience. Applying all these aspects an features to the opening for the film would be difficult as we have limited time to do it. So perhaps we might have to leave some parts out or shorten some parts. With sound we thought it would be reasonable to use stingers to build and sustain tension for the audience instead of having actual music playing.
