Horror Mood Board



From my mood board I have looked at and considered the types of sub horror genre that I could include to my film. I can see that there is usually a weapon involved to kill or attack the victim. The victim is usually a female and made to look vulnerable by having high angle shots of them. The common convention of a villain is a male. There are made to seem unstoppable and dominant by having close ups of their face to intimidate you or by having low angle shots to make them seem powerful. In nearly all horrors there is usually a vast amount of blood used, this is to make the villains in the film callous and extremely ruthless towards their victims. From the fonts of the titles on the DVD covers the sharp straight and dark coloured titles establishes that the film's genre is horror.
